Choosing to adopt a Dogue de Bordeaux is a serious decision for you and your entire household. Like children, dogues are completely dependent on their owners for all their needs: food, water, medical attention, exercise, shelter and - most importantly - companionship. Opening your home to a dogue can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life (and theirs too!), as long as you understand the daily responsibilities & routines that come with caring for this wonderful breed.
We never short cut the adoption process when considering placement of an older pup or dogue from our program. Instead, we adhere to a proven screening practice that helps to ensure an optimal and enduring fit between our dogues and the families we place them with. It´s this attention to fit that has contributed to an exceptional track record.
Please contact us today if you feel that adoption may be a viable option for you.
Dogues up for Adoption
Hugo is now placed in his retirement home. Hugo is a perfect example of how amazingly beautiful the boys & girls are that we keep back & place within our program. We are always looking for the right families within the 494/694 loop of the Twin Cities to serve as permanent homes for one of our exceptional canine kids that we plan to keep back as part of preserving our world class lines that are completely unique in combinations from any other DDB breeder/kennel in the world.
"June Bug" (AKA: June June & JJ) is around 12 months of age and has been fully vetted; including hip & elbow x-rays along with cardiac testing. We have made the decision, based upon the results of her health screens, a exceptionally strong auto immune system (JJ has no allergies, never any issues with PANO, mange or stomach issues), her endearing temperament, her athleticism & of course, her over all confirmation characteristics! that JJ is going to be a keeper & will be added to our "program".
She is crate trained, walks on a leash & of course, housebroken. We hare just in the infancy of doing more advance obedience work with her, but June June clearly exhibits the characteristics necessary to excel in the obedience ring! Which of course, means, down the road, that we will plan a couple of litters with her so that she helps us preserve our linage.
If you reside within the local metro area or would like to be considered a co-breeder ($3000 security deposit applies to co-breeder applicants) for JJ, please feel free to contact us via phone, we would be delighted to chat with you about this wonderful gal!
Jewels Of Afton
Jewels (AKA: JJ, JuJU) is a half sister to June Bug & like her half sister, she has been fully vetted including hip & elbow x-rays & heart tested/screened.
JuJU is very athletic & loves to run & chase after wild rabbits. She has a very endearing personality & well on her way to becoming a great addition to our world class breeding program.
